Igwe of Udi Calls for Mass Return this December

The Igwe of Udi, HRH Chief Chris Ejikeme Ogakwu (Okwuluoha III of Udi) has called on all sons and daughters of Udi to return en masse this December for his first ofala festival. The festival schedule for December 29th is expected to attract dignitries from far and wide including governors, law makers and people in the public and private sectors.
Speaking with the Chairman of Udi Town USA recently, the royal father indicated that he and his cabinet are working hard for the people of Udi. “We are continuing to liaise with the executive governor of Enugu State, Prince Sullivan Chime, in an effort to address the problems of Udi.” The Igwe also informed the chairman that a six-man peace committee has also been set up to resolve any outstanding issues in Udi and to reunite the people so that the town can begin to enjoy God’s blessings in peace. He encouraged the people in the Diaspora to make it a point of duty to attend the historical event. The ceremony will take place at the popular Eke Udi Square in Udi.
