Igwe of Udi Calls for Mass Return, Ofala Set for Dec 29
The tradtional ruler of Udi, HRH Igwe Chris Ejikeme Ogakwu (Okwuluoha III of Udi) has called on all sons and daughters of Udi to return en masse this December for his first ofala festival. The festival schedule for December 29th is expected to attract dignitries from far and wide including governors, law makers and people in the public and private sectors.

The people of Udi town long polarized by protracted chieftaincy and gubernatorial tussles may finally have another shot at peaceful coexistence following the recent inauguration of a Peace and Reconciliation Committee. This committee was set
up by the traditional ruler of the town, HRH Igwe Chris Ejikeme Ogakwu (Okwuluoha III of Udi) in an effort to resolve outstanding issues in the town and refocus the once esteemed town on the path to development.
