Introduction
In July of 2006, a few citizens of Udi with a burning desire to contribute towards the advancement of Udi people, gathered at the home of Mr. Shad Nebo in Houston. The sole purpose of the meeting was to discuss the need to establish an organization that would gather and unify all Udi citizens resident in the United States of America. This organization was later called Udi Town USA.
A few months after of its formation, Udi Town USA has become a formidable organization with a charter to:
- promote social progress and better standards of living for all Udi people at home and abroad,
- establish peace and fraternal unity amongst Udi people at home and abroad, and
- be the vanguards for the advancement of Udi Town, her citizens and people.
